Hi There! I am Mrs. Helenius!
I am a first grade teacher at the Colonel John Robinson School in Westford, Massachusetts. I love teaching because I get to be a part of students' learning process and school experience. We are always working together as a team to make our school day the best it can be for everyone!
Fun Facts About Me
My husband and I have a Golden Retriever named Maggie. She enjoys playing in her kiddie pool and having playdates with her dog friends. We like to go for walks together and meet new people.
I love traveling and taking pictures while on vacation. Photography is something that is still new to me, but I am learning as I go and practicing as much as I can. My family loves to go to Maine and my husband and I took a trip to Italy over the summer.
My favorite hobby is cooking. My friends and family also love to cook, so we have a great time trying new recipes together. I love homemade macaroni and cheese and baking cakes and cookies.
While I enjoy teaching all subjects in school, my favorite subject is writing. Everyone's writing is different and I love reading about students' experiences. I also enjoy sharing my writing with first graders.
